My wait for you still continues from Dawn till Dusk,
With every stone now turning into dust,
I’m still walking alone in my journey,
Looking for the one I can trust

The path looked green for a moment,
But the thorns mistaken as grass,
From distance I thought it to be gold,
While it actually turned out to brass.

Every rose has a thorn,
And I don’t get a single petal,
Hope still clings on to a dim light,
And will remain until dark.

The walk therefore continues,
I leave my life amused,
That despite stones and thorns,

The clock on the wall just stopped ticking,
The wind that surrounds just stopped blowing,
The leaves in the autumn just stopped falling,
The birds moving around just stopped flying,
The rush of the traffic just stopped moving,
Every eye around just stopped blinking,
The kids crying aloud just stopped weeping,
The earth we are on just stopped rotating,
The moon around the earth just stopped oscillating,
The planets around the sun just stopped revolving.

When all this can happen with one look of yours,

It’s not easy to realise one’s dream.

But the winner is one, who knows the knack,

And separates easily milk from cream.

Life is not just give and take,

You are controlled by something; that is fate

It is not easy to break the shackles,

You need to continuously strain your knuckles

No meals are now for free,

People are now on a killing spree.

Survival might be for the fittest,

But success is always for the fastest.

As life is short and journey is long,

Just don’t walk and run all along.

Real-Me

When the days were dark,

And the nights were bright.

And nothing in the world,

Seemed to be right

A hand comes down,

And holds me tight.

A small assurance to not worry,

And take it light.

I now bask in the sun,

And dance in the rain

There are no more tears,

And no more pain

The days went well,

The nights passed by.

I saw the stars twinkle,

In the dark night sky.

I cherished every moment,

I loved every day,

Didn’t ever think,

If this was ever meant to stay.

Soon the unexpected happened,

And the grip was loosened,

The hand went back,

Leaving my life with a crack.

I was left all alone,

To mend on my own.

To gaze in the dark,

And find my own path.

I took one step at a time,

To gather all that was mine.

I went very steady,

For anything I was ready.

My life was back on track,

Now, without any crack.

It was all brightly shone,

And did it on my own.

I now look back,

And I thank that very hand.
